The central unit of the REWE Group’s digital transformation – REWE digital – was faced with the challenge of central and uniform user administration for over 2,300 employees and the connection of various services. UCS was used to create a central user administration and seamless integration of Google G Suite, the Atlassian stack and the administration of DNS and DHCP servers with UCS.

Created in 2014, the rapidly growing REWE digital unit is at the heart of REWE Group’s digital transformation. All of REWE Group’s strategic and partly operational online activities are bundled at the Carlswerk site in Cologne. One of REWE digital’s most important tasks is to digitize food retail in Germany. In addition to the Carlswerk site with more than 500 employees, REWE digital operates six food fulfillment centers with 1,800 employees.
