The media center of the district of Kassel looks after the IT of around 70 schools in the large region. Due to the many smaller, scattered communities, a major challenge was faced when planning the use of mobile devices at the schools. This was because the introduction and support costs had to remain manageable.

Twelve employees at the media center in Hofgeismar look after 72 schools in the district of Kassel with around 25,000 pupils and 2,000 teachers and manage the use of around 6,000 end devices.
