The city council of Fulda manages the IT of the local schools. In 2016, the decision was made to look for a new solution to reduce the administrative workload. At the same time, additional IT services were to be provided for school operations. In the same year, UCS was implemented as a central identity management system to which the desired applications could be connected.

Fulda City Council is responsible for the IT support and operation of 23 schools with 13,000 pupils and 1,000 teachers.
