Automated LUSD Import
A central highlight of UCS@school 5.0 v6 is the fully automated import of user and group data from the teacher and student database (LUSD) in Hessen. The import is now carried out on a daily basis and without manual intervention. Existing user accounts in UCS@school are automatically synchronized and managed with the current LUSD data. This saves time and ensures maximum efficiency in user administration.
Improved Computer Room Control with Veyon
Another feature of UCS@school 5.0 v6 is the updated computer room control, which is based on the latest version of the Veyon software. In addition to updating the underlying components of the desktop software, decentralized and direct control of computer rooms via the Veyon Master is now also supported. Furthermore, the performance and stability of the interaction between the UCS@school web interface (UMC), the Veyon service and individual computers have been optimized. Thanks to these improvements, system load and capacities can be configured in a more flexible and application-oriented way.
Improvements in the Pedagogical Modules
The pedagogical modules in the web interface, which are important for teachers, have also been revised. One new feature in UCS@school 5.0 v6 is the extended configuration options for material distribution. Materials can now be made available either to students only or to teachers, such as substitute teachers. In addition, pending changes to accounts will be processed in the background whileresetting passwords. Teachers are therefore always shown a current user object.
Improvements to the Importer
The importer, which is central to the entire user lifecycle in UCS@school, has also been improved. Among other things, this is reflected in faster start times for large amounts of data and more robust processing of deactivated accounts. In addition, the translations have been updated and the syntax options for computer import have been extended.
